Design, by its nature, is a flexible process adaptable to the evolving needs of a project. This has been my experience across various design endeavors, whether artistic or academic in nature.

As detailed in my previous blog entries, I am currently working on designing and developing a course in Canvas LMS titled "Mastering Virtual Etiquette: Navigating UNT Online Resources Like a Pro." This course aims to assist undergraduate and graduate students at the University of North Texas in navigating and maximizing online resources to enhance their academic performance and overall college experience.

Feedback from peers in the Canvas course regarding my course idea and initial design document has been positive and constructive, highlighting areas I had unintentionally overlooked for improvement. Consequently, I revised my original design document to ensure alignment between the activities planned for each module and the intended learning goals and objectives. This process also enabled me to reorganize content, develop new activities, and reconsider material to serve better the goal of helping UNT students navigate digital resources.

Despite these adjustments, the original design model has proven immensely beneficial. It serves as a blueprint for translating my ideas into the Canvas course and strategically placing content within the LMS platform. In the words of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, renowned for his work "The Little Prince," "A goal without a plan is just a wish." This motto underscores the importance of planning, which I have found particularly relevant in creating this course.

All in all, in the days remaining before the final deliverable of my Canvas course, I will continue making modifications to implement instructional strategies and content better to course design. This is because I have been learning the importance of adaptability in this process (designing and developing a course in Canvas LMS). Through feedback and revisions, I have refined the course structure to better align with its objectives and meet the needs of students navigating digital resources.

Looking ahead, I am confident that ongoing refinement and adherence to strategic planning principles will significantly amplify the course's effectiveness in fostering students' academic success and digital literacy. Adaptability transcends being merely a skill; it's an essential facet of course design, and I aspire that my experiences inspire others to embark on their own design journeys.
